I was honoured to be a Keynote Speaker alongside politician, Michael A. Tibillo, Canadian Associate Minister of Mental Health and Addictions of Ontario, Canada.
Back in 2007, I was diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder and it totally took over my life.. I've been through divorce, lost my mother, lost my home, and lost my job. It was painful and I felt like a failure. So I got the courage, went to rehab and got help, The journey was a long road to recovery, but I now live a healthy balanced life. Being an advocate is important to me because I believe the only way we’re going to remove the judgment and discrimination surrounding mental health is by sharing our stories. My life mission is to leave this planet a better place than I found it making sure everyone felt loved.
My book, A Fresh Start helps readers get past their fears and failures It's about my private life story, now made public, it includes 111 positive affirmations, a self-help workbook and a free journal at the back! Today, my story has become other people's survival guide. A Fresh Start has is in High School libraries and has been featured on EvertalkTV in Hollywood.
My guest reveals her private story publicly for the very first time. Her mother and grandmother both committed suicide. These stories need to be told and my guests need a place to tell them in a safe judgment free zone. tune in to hear her story.
